Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia

FACTS: The National Institutes of Health estimates that the people who are most at risk for CFS and FM are white, middle-class women. Some estimates are 3 million Americans - 90 million people worldwide - suffer from a well defined group of symptoms that seem to be associated with CFS. These symptoms, doctors say, include profound lethargy not alleviated by sleep, plus depression, headache, fevers, malaise, memory loss, mental confusion, poor concentration, pain and weakness of the joints and muscles, recurring infections, severe exhaustion from minor activities, sore throat, stomach distress, and swollen lymph glands. Of course these people do not appear to be sick, and lab tests fail to find any abnormalities.

Most references to these diseases fail to come even close to the real causes. Ironically though, their recommendations come close to the real cure for them. Such as "trying whole-food, vegetarian or near-vegetarian diet". They go on to say, "If it doesn't cure fatigue or the pain, it will at least reduce risk of heart disease, cancer, obesity, high blood pressure and many other serious conditions." The Green Pharmacy by James Duke.

CAUSES ARE:

  • Overeating, snacks, heavy suppers
  • Too little exercise
  • Too little water
  • Blood sugar, up or down
  • Thyroid, over or under active
  • Hemoglobin, too high or too low
  • Noise
  • Stress, anxiety
  • Lack of rest
  • Depression
  • Overweight
  • Overwork
  • Irregular schedule
  • Constipation
  • Poor air, especially while sleeping
  • Deficient diet
  • Concentrated foods, supplements
  • Excesses of one's pleasures
  • Chronic illnes

TREATMENTS: Superfoods, Immune boosting, Bowel cleansing, then detoxing. It is imperative to change our lifestyle in order to obtain healing and to experience a lasting healing. We must correct the above causes.

Superfood: Juicing fresh squeezed vegetables, fruits, and grasses, in combination with Superfood, and the necessary diet changes, will correct a number of the above. Enzymes are one of the most important missing factors in fibromyalgia. Enzymes of course are abundant in Superfood, in juicing, in raw fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds, also herbs. A good juicing combination is purslane, string beans, spinach, lettuce, stinging nettle, poppy seed sprouts, carrots. Definition of Superfood is any food that is high in enzymes, phytochemicals, vitamins, minerals, Chlorophyll, and antioxidants.

Immune boosting is brought about by Herbs: echinacea, goldenseal, elecampane, ginseng, licorice root, lemon balm, and ginger root. By Hydrotherapy: Hot and Cold Showers, steam baths, Wet sheet paks. By Exercise: A good guide to go by is "to sweat" for 30 minutes every day. As always when your cleaning out you will experience symptoms like increased pain, skin eruptions, increased tiredness, and others, but remember that is because you are breaking things up and getting them out. So persist (even though you're tired of feeling this way) because these will go away as you stick with your new program.

Sunlight: Get plenty of it - within reason. Daily. Fresh air: Sit up straight. Deep breathe, open your windows especially at night. In the winter-time air your house out periodically. Exercise in the open air.

Adequate rest: The best hours of sleep are those before midnight. 7-9 hours are the best. More or less have been proven to cause increased morbidity. Another issue which will aid and maintain a good immune system is regularity. Our bodies are creatures of habit. Sleep studies have shown that if we will do most of our necessary habits at a regular time (eating, rising, sleeping, toileting, bathing, etc) we will be much healthier. Trusting in Divine Power is a great stress reliever therefore a great immune booster!

"Christ says, "Come until me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you - [the yoke of restraint and obedience] - learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls." We are to find rest by wearing His yoke and bearing His burdens. In being co-workers with Christ in the great work for which He gave His life, we shall find true rest. In accepting Christ's yoke of restraint and obedience, you will find that it is of the greatest help to you. Wearing this yoke keeps you near the side of Christ, and He bears the heaviest part of the load."
